Assist oral fluid therapy is the easiest way to give large volumes of fluids - with supporting electrolytes, vitamins and/or energy - to sick, inappetent, mildly dehydrated or nutritionally deficient cows. Maintaining fluids and nutrients is a fundamental part of supportive care.

Assist Oral Fluid Therapy has a range of sachets to be used for specific applications with your cows. If you have never used a fluid pump before ask your veterinarian for a demonstration.

Assist Pump Formula

Assist Pump Formula contains calcium, magnesium & energy and may be used for the prevention of milk fever & ketosis in cases where dietary sources are low or insufficient to meet an animal’s normal requirements.

It also provides nutritional support to cows that are off-feed or with mild dehydration.

Assist Pump Formula is designed to be dissolved into 20L of warm water and is administered to the cow via a pump system.

Assist Pump Pro Formula contains calcium, magnesium & extra energy and may be used for the prevention of milk fever & ketosis in cases where dietary sources are low or insufficient to meet an animal’s normal requirements. It also provides nutritional support to cows that are off-feed or with mild dehydration.

Assist Pump Formula is designed to be used by Veterinarians in their care of sick animals that need rehydration calcium and /or an extra energy boost. It comes in a concentrate liquid form ready to dilute in warm water to make up 20L and is administered to the cow via a pump system.

A balanced formulation of dextrose & electrolytes including calcium and magnesium to treat minor dehydration in adult ruminants.

Assist Cow-Ade Formula is designed to be dissolved into 20L of warm water and is administered to the cow via a pump system.

ASSIST BUFFER FORMULA

A formulation containing a powerful antacid - Magnesium Oxide (Heavy) and Calcareous Marine Algae to help buffer the rumen pH once the acid environment is corrected. Also contains B vitamins which are important for liver health.

Assist Buffer formula is designed to be dissolved in 20L of warm water and is administered to the cow via a pump system.

  • Contains 200g CMA - shown in studies to be twice as effective at buffering the rumen than calcium bicarbonate ⁽¹, ², ³⁾

  • Studies show that CMA has anti inflammatory properties ⁽⁴⁾

  • CMA is an excellent source of calcium - which is shown to be strongly linked to rumination activity⁽⁵⁾ and is also useful if the animal also has a nutritional calcium insufficiency.
